Board Members
Aaron Kampman:
Aaron, a multi-year pro bowler, is in his 8th season of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers. He is currently among the NFL sack leaders and has amassed a long list of athletic accomplishments. However, his truest passion is found in being used by God to advance Christ's kingdom, particularly in the developing and unreached world. Through the influence God has entrusted to him, he desires to utilize the platform of his profession to this end. He and his wife, Linde, are committed to seeing their lives count for eternal purposes. Together, they are raising three young boys in their home.
Steve Visser
After attending Michigan State University, Steve began a career in law enforcement, eventually becoming a highly-decorated bomb dog handler and trainer. Several years later he struck out on his own pursuing business. He has started several companies including Quality Stone Works, Inc., a successful granite fabrication company where he currently serves as the CEO. As committed Christians, Steve and his wife, Cheri, responded to the passion and leadership of Micah and Audrey McElveen and were compelled to become involved with the life-changing ministries of Vapor Sports.
Bill Boycott:
Bill is married to his lovely wife Sue and is President of Agrium Advanced Technologies, a branch of Agrium, which is a fortune 500 company. He joined Agrium in June of 2003 as General Manager for Kenai Nitrogen Operations (KNO). Bill has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout his 19 years in the oil industry.
Clint Hall:
Clint is the owner and founder of Hall Quality Builders and Denali Homes. At one time, one of the largest builders in the Northwest, building over 2,500 homes on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska alone. He previously owned an airplane and fishing operation. Clint is a gifted businessman and has traveled extensively around the world for marketplace ventures and humanitarian/faith based work.
David Pursell:
David studied commercial art at Auburn University where he met his wife Ellen. Using his creative skills and commercial art training, he started an in-house advertising agency at the family fertilizer business. Later David advanced to become vice president of sales and marketing at Pursell Industries. In 1997 David assumed the top job as president and CEO of Pursell Technologies and is now the CEO of Pursell Farms.
Dr. David Stampfl:
Dr. David Stampfl graduated from Boston University School of Medicine, completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He currently works for Gastroenterology Associates in Green Bay, WI. He is married to Connie, who practiced as an emergency physician prior to raising their children. He maintains a multimedia resource center at his church and participates in home based youth ministry. He is excited about how God is using Vapor in the lives of children and families around the world.
John Kirkland:
John spent 18 years in Kenya and Tanzania East Africa as a missionary. He is presently serving on the pastoral staff of Midway Church, the church that sent he and his family to the field. His ministry travels have also included training national church leaders in India. He has a great desire to help leaders grow and thrive in ministry. His wife and three children all share a common passion for ministry and discipleship. They love to see men and women of all ages growing in their relationship with God and their service to others.
Kirk Nowery:
Kirk is COO of Samaritans Purse. Prior to Samaritans Purse, Kirk served as President of ISS-INJOY Stewardship Services -the nation's leading firm in strategic ministry consultation. Over a decade ago, he served as Senior Pastor of a multi-campus mega church and Chairman of a 2,000-student private school. For 12 years he was also Chaplain of the famed Miami Dolphins professional football team and knows first hand the necessity of effective sports ministry. He and his beautiful wife Denise live in Boone, NC.
Mitch Black:
Mitch is a very successful financial planner for Ameriprise Financial. Mitch started and owned various businesses in the Kansas City area and achieved business and financial “success” in his early thirties. During his most prosperous season, he found himself wanting to live for more than just temporal success and now he and his wife serve selflessly in different faith based entities. Mitch enjoys advising for profit and non-profit entities with solid financial counsel.
Rocky McElveen:
Rocky McElveen with his wife, Sharon, are owners of Alaskan-Adventures. Rocky authored “Wild Men, Wild Alaska” and is the son of an Alaskan missionary and a seminary graduate. He was raised in Alaska and for over twenty years has been a professional guide in that state. His knowledge of the primitive frontier along with his warm, hospitable manner adds an unprecedented dimension to his credentials as a master fishing and registered hunting guide.
