Vapor Sports Ministries combines life-changing truth with one of the world’s greatest passions in the world’s poorest places. Vapor joins two aspects, sports and humanitarian aid, to fulfill its mission to bring
sustainable life change.

We realize that sports are a universal language. Regardless of where you are on the globe, even if in a primitive form, sports are a part of life. We leverage the platform that sports create to voice hope and to instill sustainable life change in the lives of the hopeless. We utilize the tool of sports and the truths of God to reach, to effect change, and to develop lives and souls in third world environments.

Vapor also realizes that there are physical implications that are detrimental for a people living in a third world environment. The grueling reality is that while we live in a land of plenty, much of our world is living in a land of poverty. The omnipresent threat of death is expedited by the inadequacy of clean drinking water and the lack of basic necessities. Statistics reveal that three million children die every year due to these inadequacies. Water is one of the great necessities to sustain life. Vapor strives to help solve the human crisis issues that exist wherever we build a center.

A process of rampant urbanization, across the globe, has initiated the runaway growth of slums, characterized by overcrowding, poor or informal housing, inadequate access to safe water and sanitation, and insecurity of tenure. U.N. researchers estimate that there were at least 921 million slum dwellers in 2001 and more than 1 billion in 2005, with slum populations growing by a staggering 25 million per year.

As we strive to bring sustainable life change, we cannot expect a child to focus on the teachings of the Truth without having the mental stability that the basic needs being met provides. Specific aspects we address include providing clean drinking water, child sponsorships for education, disease prevention, AIDS awareness, and basic health training.

These tremendous issues exist in cultural contexts foreign to the average citizen in a first world  environment. Therefore, we train, equip, and empower indigenous people to carry out the mission of building centers for humanitarian aid and sustainable life change in third world environments. At an established center, our staff effectively ministers to the whole child, both spiritually and physically.
