Life is a vapor. Don't spend yours on the sidelines.

What we do

Vapor engages some of the world’s poorest places and establishes centers for poverty alleviation and disciple making. We use the vehicle of sport to connect and share the gospel. Partnering with local faith communities, we build fields, set up leagues and initiate organized humanitarian projects. The center’s indigenous staff serve as coaches and  spiritual mentors, trained to meet both the immediate basic needs of the children and to introduce them to the love of Christ. We design our centers so that each can become indigenously led, financially independent and self-perpetuating.

Our centers are the cornerstones of our mission and through them we achieve our three main goals: equipping the unequipped, alleviating poverty and multiplying disciples.

Equipping the Unequipped

In the third-world environments in which we work, we meet local people of evident potential, who lack opportunity. We equip them to operate their own centers through a process of intense spiritual formation, leadership development and “specific-to-job” training that precedes their employment. We ensure their success and accountability through ongoing collaboration and personnel development. We consider these

proven representatives uniquely positioned to solve problems in the most appropriate way, to make the best decisions on the sustainable development of their center and

its further expansion.

Alleviating Poverty

We establish our centers, intentionally, in the heart of intrinsically poor environments. They are the bases from which we systematically fight poverty. From them we provide access to clean water, combat illiteracy, support disease prevention training, fight hunger, facilitate economic development and offer basic assistance through various means at our disposal.

Multiplying Disciples

Disciples make other disciples. They take the initiative for spiritual formation in their own lives and become leaders for others. At our centers, we intentionally form disciples with multiplication in mind. We utilize the local sport of choice to introduce the hope of Christ, teach the truths of His Word, equip participants for missional living and empower local people to carry out the cause of Christ.

vapor values

Biblical Alignment

We receive our direction from the teachings of the Bible.

Sacrificial Leadership

We will lay down our lives for those in need and those we lead, as Christ did for us.

Causal & Missional Service

We will humbly give ourselves to serve the poor and carry out the Great Commission.

Sustainable Multiplication

We will make and grow disciples that will, in turn, make and grow disciples and raise up leaders in their own communities.

Relevant Pursuit

We will remain sensitive to the cultural environments we serve and will utilize culturally suitable methods to pursue our mission without compromising our values.

Urgent Development

Due to the brevity of life and urgency of the challenges in the Third World, we will grow in capacity as quickly as possible.
